Towards Silver Eco Diocese - March 2020

First published on: 12th March 2020

So much work has already been done towards putting our fifth mark of mission at the heart of all of our work across the Diocese - we are one of only seven Bronze Eco Diocese in the country.  We have a strong foundation to share, learn from and take actions on climate change, we can reduce our carbon footprint.

Around the Diocese - Our Church Actions

Registered Eco Church All Hallows and Penny Lane Mosque are considering working together to make a joint contribution to the Water Stories digital book.

Gold Eco Church Christchurch Toxteth Park is holding a weekly series of reflections throughout Lent on Climate Change & Creation Reflections.  Check their website for details and join them on Wednesday evenings.linkneeded but error on page on old site

Silver Eco Church St Cuthbert’s are following the #LiveLent programme.  They’ve been engaging with their Scouts group, children and young people to share what St Cuthbert’s is already doing and what more they could do during Lent to become more eco-friendly as they work towards their Gold Eco Church award. Children and young people have been reflecting on Bible readings about love, how God loves us and God loves creation and asking how they can show love for the world.

What is your church doing? Share it with us and others through the Bulletin – it’s inspiring to know what others are doing and how together as a Diocese we are showing our love for creation through our actions to reduce our impact on the Earth, lowering our carbon footprint.
