Reimagining Advent, Christmas and Epiphany

First published on: 29th October 2020

We can all be certain of one thing this year that Christmas is going to look very different this year. With so much uncertainty about it has been hard for many of us to get to grips with how advent, Christmas and epiphany can look.

So our online event on November 9th will be a chance for us to come together, share ideas and resources and find simple ways to help us bring comfort and joy to communities across our diocese this year.

Hosted by Bishop Bev, the two-hour session will follow the model of the Reimaging Church seminars earlier this year with stimulating conversations and the ability to learn from one another.

We will include

• How to get the best from Comfort and Joy the national church campaign

• Putting A Church Near You at the heart of what you do

• Some practical resources and simple ideas

• Support, encouragement and stories from one another’s experience

Bishop Bev said “the Festive Season will be a challenge but it is an opportunity for the church to spread some comfort and joy to the communities we serve. So this practical, informative session will help us explore simple ways to do this. We want to inspire not overwhelm churches and hope to see as many people as possible to share ideas and learn how we can get a strong message out this year.”
