Changes in the Pastoral Team

As the Revd Canon Simon Fisher takes up his new role as Archdeacon of St Helens & Warrington Archdeaconry this month and Sandra Holmes retires from her role as Mission and Pastoral Officer at the end of March, the Ven. Ricky Panter has kindly agreed to take on the role of Acting Bishop’s Planning Officer for 6 months from January 2020 to ease this transition. We are very grateful to Ricky for taking on this position and ask that you lend him your support and keep him in prayers.  We would like to thank both Simon and Sandra for their enormous contribution to their shaping of the ministry and mission of this diocese in their respective roles.

Could you be the next Bishop's planning officer or assistant planning officer?

The Bishops are seeking to appoint a new permanent Bishop’s Planning Officer to start in June 2020, to build on the work carried out by the Pastoral Team as we seek to be a bigger church to make a bigger difference. The Bishops would also like to expand the Team by appointing additional Assistant Bishop’s Planning Officers.

For further information, please take a look at the role profile documents in the side box and/or have an informal conversation with Sandra Holmes or one of the archdeacons.
