Bob Lewis appointed as Dwelly-Raven Canon

Bishop Paul said "Our Cathedral’s statutes provide for the appointment of a non-residential and non-stipendiary canon, the Dwelly-Raven Canon, who is a full member of the Chapter.

I am delighted that Canon Bob Lewis has accepted the Dean’s and my offer to fill that role for its three-year term, and as part of that to act for a day and a half a week as the episcopal counsellor, advising the bishops in their ministry.

The role of Dwelly Raven Canon will give Bob a platform from which to sustain his ministry to the university institutions in the centre of Liverpool city, whilst continuing in his role as Vicar at St Margaret’s Toxteth. I am confident that holding this post will enable Bob to support our diocese in offering wise priestly advice to Bishop Beverley and me and in making a bigger difference to the city and the wider Diocese."
