With all building projects the starting point is to have a “Vision” of what you want to achieve through the building. Thinking carefully about how you want to serve your congregation and local community into the future will help you to be clear about your needs.
The following points should be taken into account when looking to start a building project
• Be clear in what you want to achieve
• Assess the need for the project
• Define who will benefit from the project
• Be sure of your aims for the project
• Have clear outcomes for the project
• Obtain a budget cost and have a clear funding strategy
• Be sure that your project is sustainable
