Parishes respond to welfare changes

Three briefing events about welfare changes are to take place across the diocese.

In response to the latest round of welfare cuts, and after the recent conference held by Bishop James and Mayor Joe Anderson, a number of Welfare Reform briefings have been organised by parishes. The briefings will include input from welfare experts, social landlords and more.  

Open to clergy, lay workers, community groups and leaders.

Tuesday 26th February 12.30pm-2pm, Welfare Reform Lunch - hosted by Huyton Deanery and St. Gabriel’s Neighbourhood Network. Presentations from Department for Work and Pensions, Enterprise Credit Union, Knowsley Housing Trust and Knowsley MBC.
