While our church buildings are closed until further notice to help reduce the spread of coronavirus, making sure that your church’s A Church Near You (ACNY) page is up-to-date is one way of keeping in touch with your community.
Did you know that if you are planning to live streaming your service or event, ACNY can help people to access it online? If your church isn’t able to live stream events, your congregation can use a ACNY to find suitable services to watch while they can’t visit you in person.
If you’re not sure what you need to do here’s some useful advice from the ACNY team.
- Edit your church’s homepage with a message to say that all public worship is suspended until further notice in the parish.
- Add information on church’s homepage you need to make known; such as services that are being live-streamed, support for vulnerable members of the parish and how people can get in touch.
- Please also ensure your A Church Near You welcome message has safeguarding information, in line with the House of Bishops' guidance. linkneeded blocked on new site
