Loved ones remembered in Memorial Services across Liverpool

First published on: 10th January 2020

The annual memorial services were held in St Marys Church (Walton), Church of the Holy Spirit (Dovecot), Christ Church (Moreton) and Greenacres Woodland Burial Chapel.

Two of these services were led by Reverend Juliet Stephenson, Director of the Good Funeral Company, who was previously named as Funeral Celebrant of the Year at the Good Funeral Awards.

Reflecting on the memorial services, Revd Juliet Stephenson said, “While there is no right or wrong way to remember the life of a loved one, memorial services provide comfort and reflection for many dealing with loss.

“It was a privilege to be involved, particularly to see the community come together to support one another. The Diocese of Liverpool is blessed with many beautiful church buildings, and I hope that next year we can establish more memorial services to support local people.”

Paul Lambert, Area Manager for Dignity Funerals said:

"We would like to thank all those who attended our memorial services, and donated so generously to help others while remembering their own loved ones.

“People come to us at an extremely difficult point in their lives, but grief and bereavement do not stop once the funeral is over, and so it’s an honour to be able to provide an opportunity for families to come together again in remembrance.

“Our annual memorial services are open to anyone who wishes to remember those that have died.”
