Working with offenders and reoffenders

Nationwide prison statistics show that a high proportion of offenders re-offend within two years of being released. Prison chaplains tell us that without support, many Christian prisoners re-offend at the same rate.

We seek to work in collaboration with local churches, prison chaplains and other faith based community organisations to deliver Alpha into the Prisons within Liverpool Diocese and work with Caring for Ex-Offenders (CFEO) to help reduce the likelihood of re-offending

We aim to provide support to the many men and women who have come to faith, or renewed their commitment in prison and wish to start a new life on release with Christ at the centre.

Prison Fellowship

Prison Fellowship England & Wales, through its volunteers, works for the restoration of the lives of prisoners and victims, and their families. We support these groups in practical ways and through prayer. PF is a volunteer-led organisation with a small team of paid staff. We have over 1,700 volunteers throughout England and Wales who pray for prisoners, run Sycamore Tree courses, co-ordinate Angel Tree, write letters to prisoners and have various other roles to support Prison Chaplaincy.
