The Area Dean's main role is to lead and facilitate the development and implementation of the Deanery Mission Plan
Given the wide-ranging nature of their duties and responsibilities, Area Deans are expected to model collaborative leadership (for example with clergy, lay ministers and the Lay Chair).
The Bishop appoints an Area Dean after consultation with the Deanery Chapter, Readers, Church Wardens, lay members of Deanery Synod and the Lay Chair of the Deanery Synod.
Area Deans receive a monthly briefing of information and support from St James' House staff.
These pages give information to support our Area Deans. You may also find plenty of help on the main Making it Easier pages. If you can't find what you need or there is something missing, contact communications@liverpool.anglican.org
