The Governors of St. Paul’s C.E. Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to the position of Deputy Headteacher. Ideally the successful candidate will possess strengths in curriculum development, data analysis, and assessment.

St. Paul’s C E Primary School is a one form entry primary school with 208 children currently on roll and a higher than average number of children with both SEND and EHC plans.  We are a friendly school with a deep sense of spirituality.  The successful candidate will join a school with a family feel and strong links to the Church and local community. 
The Governors are looking to appoint a candidate who is committed to nurture our school and drive improvement and growth both in terms of standards and Christian ethos. 

The right candidate will:-

  • Be committed to our Church ethos and support our mission to have a ‘Christ centred’ approach to learning and living. 
  • Care about our children and families and want to make a difference. 
  • Understand the role of assessment to achieve and sustain high standards and will manage assessment throughout the school. 
  • Be confident in the analysis of data and use the information to set targets. 
  • Have a genuine interest in further developing our exciting and innovative ‘mastery curriculum’. 
  • Have current and relevant understanding of children with additional needs e.g. ADHD, autism and have a secure understanding of EHC plans. 
  • Have experience of mentoring student teachers, NQT’s, and helping staff to realise their full potential.  Have a good sense of humour and commit fully to our school and local community.
