Deanery Synod Lay Member

Making It Easier > Roles > A Parish Officer > Deanery Synod Lay Member

Lay members work collaboratively with the Area Dean and Lay Chair to support the mission of their deanery.

Lay members play an important role in tending the relationship between Deanery Synod and the
parishes or other groups they represent.

They also share the responsibility with the Area Dean and Lay Chair of establishing active teamwork within Synod, and building working relationships with other members across parish and group boundaries.

Deanery Mission and Pastoral Committee

Two lay members elected from Deanery Synod are on this committee alongside the Area Dean, Lay Chair, Diocesan representatives, and two clergy elected from Deanery Synod.

We hope this section makes it easier for you to be a Deanery Synod Lay Rep. If you can't find exactly what you are looking for, please try the Parish Officer menu or the Making it Easier drop down menu for more roles.
